Role purpose
To lead the testing and
validation of ADAS longitudinal features, including but not limited to ACC,
TSR, AHB and ISA. Plan and independently execute tests in test track and open
road, verify feature performance, coordinate with actuator suppliers for
vehicle-level tuning, analyze test data, identify issues and ensure timely
verification of software updates and feature improvements.
Key responsibilities
1. ADAS Feature Testing and Validation
Take ownership of complete validation activities for
ACC, TSR, AHB and ISA. Understand feature requirements, prepare test plans and
test cases, and independently execute functional and performance testing on
proving grounds and public roads. Verify feature behavior under different road,
traffic and environmental conditions, review test cases and ensure adequate
scenario coverage.
2. Vehicle Performance Evaluation and
Tuning
Conduct joint tuning activities with actuator
suppliers for vehicle-level performance improvement. Evaluate and fine-tune
acceleration, deceleration, jerk, driving comfort and system response
performance. Analyze actuator response and delays between ADAS control commands
and actual vehicle behavior, and coordinate actuator performance verification
and supplier sign-off.
3. Test Execution and Data Analysis
Plan and execute proving-ground and open-road
testing. Configure and collect perception and vehicle control logs during
testing, perform primary analysis of perception, control and vehicle signals,
and identify abnormal system behavior and performance deviations. Prepare test
observations with supporting logs, signal plots and videos.
4. Software Verification and
Regression Testing
Perform smoke testing for newly released software
and execute feature verification and regression testing after software updates.
Prepare and execute DOE for development software to evaluate parameter changes
and performance improvements. Compare performance across software versions,
report identified issues and verify software fixes to ensure existing
functionalities are not affected.
5. Issue Management and Reverification
Identify and highlight functional and performance
issues in a timely manner. Report issues with clear test conditions,
observations and supporting logs. Coordinate with software, perception and
system development teams for issue resolution, perform joint testing with the
Quality team for issue reproduction and reverification, and follow up on
corrective actions until issue closure.
6. Test Reporting and Documentation
Prepare
daily and weekly test reports, maintain test case execution status, test
results and software-version-wise records. Report feature performance, tuning
progress and issue status, highlight critical issues and validation risks to
management, and provide technical feedback and recommendations for feature
improvement.
7. Equipment commissioning,
instrumentation and vehicle preparation
Prepare
daily and weekly test reports, maintain test case execution status, test
results and software-version-wise records. Report feature performance, tuning
progress and issue status, highlight critical issues and validation risks to
management, and provide technical feedback and recommendations for feature
improvement.
Regular work schedule
Daily | Review test priorities, execute planned tests, analyze
logs, identify issues and update test results. |
Weekly | Review test progress, feature performance, actuator tuning
activities, open issues and software verification status |
Monthly | Review feature validation status, software performance,
regression results, tuning progress and pending critical issues. |
As
needed | Perform smoke testing, DOE, regression testing,
proving-ground campaigns, open-road testing, joint actuator tuning and issue
reverification. |
