What You’ll Do:
As our Health Services Director, you will provide leadership, oversight, and accountability for the delivery of resident care throughout the community, directly impacting the lives of our residents and the success of our team by:
- Providing day-to-day leadership and oversight of Health Services operations throughout the community, and leading, coaching, developing, and holding Health Services associates accountable.
- Overseeing caregiver and medication aide/technician staffing and scheduling, and managing Health Services labor and departmental resources responsibly.
- Overseeing resident assessments, reassessments, service plans, medication records, and related healthcare documentation within applicable scope and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring resident-care delivery to ensure services align with assessed needs and service plans.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, providers, regulators, and community partners.
- Responding appropriately to resident concerns, incidents, changes in condition, and emerging care needs, and supporting prospective resident assessments, move-ins, and resident transitions.
- Assessing training and competency needs, coordinating education, maintaining ongoing survey and regulatory readiness, and monitoring quality outcomes to lead corrective-action follow-up.
- Communicating company and community expectations, changes, deadlines, and priorities to Health Services associates.
- Partnering and collaborating with community leaders and associates to promote consistent resident care, communication, service delivery, and resident experience throughout the community.
- Serving as an active member of the community leadership team, participating in the on-call rotation, and providing direct resident care and/or medication assistance within your authorized scope when community needs require.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, healthcare, or a related environment.
- Meaningful experience working with resident care or healthcare services, and the ability to meet applicable state requirements to administer or assist with medications within the assisted living setting.
- An RN, LPN/LVN, medication aide/technician, or other relevant healthcare credential, OR a bachelor’s/associate degree (or college coursework) in healthcare administration, nursing, health sciences, human services, business, or a related field (Preferred).
- Previous resident-care leadership, Health Services leadership, or healthcare-management experience, including experience with resident assessments, service planning, medication management, staffing, training, and regulatory readiness (Preferred).
- A demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold teams accountable, alongside the ability to manage staffing, competing priorities, resident needs, and operational challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate challenging or emotionally charged conversations professionally.
- The ability to effectively use electronic health records, medication systems, staffing/scheduling systems, learning platforms, and standard business software.
- The ability to meet applicable state-specific certification, training, credentialing, or licensure requirements associated with assigned responsibilities.
- The ability to participate in on-call responsibilities and provide direct resident support when operational needs require.
- The ability to maintain confidential resident, associate, and health information.
- The ability to assist residents with limited mobility, lift/push/pull up to 50lbs.
- A current CPR/BLS certification.
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
