We are looking for an experienced and capable Legal Secretary to join our close-knit Blenheim office. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a team: providing high-quality legal support, building trusted relationships with clients and helping the wider office run smoothly.
The role has a strong property and conveyancing focus, alongside general office administration. The work is personal, practical and varied, so you will need the confidence to manage competing priorities, use your initiative and pitch in wherever needed.
All applications will be treated as strictly confidential.
About the role:
What we’re looking for:
You will be an experienced Legal Secretary with strong property and conveyancing knowledge. You will be comfortable working independently, using your initiative and taking ownership of tasks through to completion. Because this is a small team, you will also be adaptable and genuinely happy to get stuck in across both legal support and general office administration as needed.
You will bring excellent organisation and time management skills, strong attention to detail and clear, professional communication. Confidence using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is essential, and experience with LINZ and e-dealings is strongly preferred. Above all, you will be reliable, collaborative and committed to delivering a high standard of service to our clients and team.
What’s in it for you?
About us:
At Duncan Cotterill, we’re proud to be one of New Zealand’s leading full-service law firms, with six offices around the country. We combine technical excellence with a practical, client-focused approach and offer our people rewarding careers, quality work and a supportive culture.
If you are an experienced Legal Secretary looking for variety, meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to become an important part of a connected local office, this could be your next career move.
