Pay rate: $30–$37 per hour + weekly pay
What You'll Be Doing
- Inspect, service and repair motorhomes between hires
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing faults
- Carry out routine servicing, including brakes, batteries and other vehicle components
- Install accessories and complete modifications on imported motorhomes
- Refurbish interiors, fittings, seals and body components
- Prepare vehicles for WOF, COF and other relevant compliance checks
- Complete maintenance records and maintain a safe, organised workshop
- Minimum 2 years' experience maintaining and repairing vehicles, ideally diesel light commercial vehicles
- Strong mechanical servicing and fault-finding skills
- Practical knowledge of vehicle electrical and plumbing systems
- Confidence using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
- Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
- Relevant mechanical, automotive or engineering qualification advantageous
- Motorhome or campervan maintenance experience advantageous
- Potential for ongoing work
- Variety of mechanical, electrical and refurbishment tasks
- Opportunity to develop specialist motorhome maintenance skills
- Work across vehicle servicing, conversions and repairs
- Hands-on experience with a range of vehicle systems
- PPE provided where required
- Support from the Tradestaff Christchurch team throughout your assignment
