Chalk Hill Group are partnering with a growing SME, based in Petersfield, to recruit a Finance & Data Analyst.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll help turn financial and operational data into meaningful information that supports better decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare management reports, analysing actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Investigate financial and operational trends, providing clear commentary on results, risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain reporting tools and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
- Analyse sales, margins, stock, customer and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting and period-end activities.
- Maintain costing and pricing models, supplier reconciliations and accurate financial records.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, improve data quality and automate manual tasks.
- Work with colleagues across the business to provide timely, relevant insight and support informed decisions.
About You
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and financial modelling.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in a finance, reporting, data analysis, business performance or commercial role.
- Confident working with financial or business systems and handling data from multiple sources.
- Able to interpret information and communicate findings clearly to non-finance colleagues.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with Power BI, budgeting and forecasting would be advantageous.
