Overview

VCBO Architecture is seeking a Business Technology Analyst to help maximize the value of our business technology through the implementation, administration, optimization, and adoption of firmwide software applications.

Working closely with department leaders and employees, this role identifies opportunities to improve business processes and develops practical solutions through technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools. This is a hands-on position responsible for coordinating technology initiatives from evaluation and implementation through ongoing administration, user adoption, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and optimize firmwide business applications to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
Partner with departments to identify business needs, evaluate existing workflows, and develop practical technology solutions that improve productivity and efficiency.
Coordinate software implementations, upgrades, testing, and user rollouts, including project schedules, deliverables, and communication with stakeholders.
Develop, implement, and maintain solutions using workflow automation, system integrations, AI tools, and other technologies to streamline business processes.
Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions and business applications, to support the firm's operational needs and strategic goals.
Develop and maintain application standards, business workflows, system documentation, and best practices.
Identify user training needs and collaborate with the firm's trainer to support successful adoption of business applications and new technologies.
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards within business applications to support system utilization, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making.
Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented technology solutions by tracking user adoption, efficiency improvements, and other measurable outcomes.
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned business applications, troubleshooting issues and coordinating with software vendors as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing business software applications.
Hands-on experience with workflow automation, AI tools, APIs, system integrations, or scripting languages such as Python or TypeScript.
Strong project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience coordinating technology initiatives across departments.
Experience evaluating business processes, implementing technology solutions, and documenting workflows and system standards.
Familiarity with business applications such as Deltek Vantagepoint, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Bluebeam, Asana, or similar platforms preferred.
Familiarity with architecture, engineering, construction, or other professional services environments preferred.
