About the role
Peter Fry Landscapes is seeking an experienced Landscaper to join our growing team in Browns Bay, Auckland. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse landscaping projects across the Auckland region. As a Landscaper, you will play a vital role in transforming outdoor spaces, working with clients to bring their visions to life whilst maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and professionalism. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating beautiful, functional landscapes that enhance both residential and commercial properties.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and maintaining garden beds, lawns and landscaped areas to ensure optimal health and appearance
Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws and other power tools safely and effectively
Installing hardscaping features such as pathways, paving, retaining walls and garden edging
Planting trees, shrubs, perennials and other vegetation in accordance with design specifications
Performing regular maintenance tasks including weeding, pruning, mulching and seasonal clean-ups
Liaising with clients to understand their landscaping requirements and preferences
Following health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organised work site
Transporting materials and equipment to project sites and ensuring proper storage and care
Working collaboratively with other team members to complete projects on schedule and within budget
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Landscaper or in a similar landscaping role, with a strong portfolio of previous work
Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment and power tools
Solid knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs and garden design principles
Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding manual labour in varying weather conditions
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 awareness and commitment to safe work practices
Preferred: Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture, landscaping or health and safety
Preferred: Experience with hardscaping and construction techniques
