Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client is looking for experienced Senior Social Workers to join their First Response Children's Duty Team in the East Midlands

Position: Senior Social Worker – First Response Children's Duty
Rate: £38 per hour (Umbrella)

Purpose:

To respond to concerns about children and families, assessing risk and need, and taking appropriate action to safeguard children and promote their welfare.

Job Responsibilities:

• Respond to referrals and concerns relating to children and families.
• Undertake initial assessments and identify safeguarding risks.
• Make timely decisions regarding appropriate interventions and next steps.
• Work closely with partner agencies, including education, health and police.
• Maintain accurate case records and complete relevant reports.
• Ensure children's needs and welfare remain central to decision-making.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Previous experience within children's social care.
• Experience in a Duty, First Response, MASH or Assessment Team would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
• Confident decision-making, assessment and communication skills.
