About the Role
Chery Motor New Zealand is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Sales Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Auckland.
This is a hands-on operational role supporting the day-to-day activities of our Sales team, while also providing support to Vehicle Logistics when required.
You will play an important role in keeping our sales operations running smoothly, with responsibilities across sales administration, reporting and data analysis, pricing and commercial documentation, dealer support, stock management and vehicle logistics.
If you enjoy working with data, coordinating across multiple teams and keeping fast-moving operations organised, this could be a great opportunity to build your career within a growing automotive brand.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Provide day-to-day sales administration and operational support, including order processing, documentation and record management.
Prepare and distribute dealer communications relating to pricing, promotions, products and processes.
Maintain vehicle price lists, specifications, vehicle codes and other sales documentation.
Support new dealer onboarding, including system setup, CRM/DMS access and onboarding materials.
Build and maintain sales dashboards, sales funnels and regular performance reports.
Monitor and analyse New Zealand new vehicle market data, competitor pricing, promotions and specifications.
Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reporting for internal management and head office.
Monitor CRM data quality and prepare lead-source and conversion reporting.
Support pricing requests and RFP responses for fleet, government and corporate opportunities.
Complete RCTI calculations and maintain relevant commercial documentation.
Provide support to the Vehicle Logistics team during peak periods or team leave.
Monitor vehicle stock, ageing stock, allocation issues and shortages.
Assist with vessel and shipment tracking and communicate vehicle ETAs to the dealer network.
Track compound and pre-delivery inspection (PDI) status.
Support VIN allocation and stock transfers between dealers.
About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and comfortable working across both sales and operational functions.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in sales administration, sales operations, automotive operations or logistics support.
Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with experience preparing reports or maintaining dashboards.
Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with pricing, invoicing and reporting.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
A practical, problem-solving mindset.
The ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Logistics, Finance and a dealer network.
The right to live and work in New Zealand.
A full New Zealand driver's licence.
Experience within the New Zealand automotive industry or dealer network would be highly regarded, as would experience with dealer management or vehicle logistics systems such as Pentana.
