Great granola is all about the right mix, and so is a great launch. Purely Elizabeth’s next stage of growth runs through Commercialization. Steer the cross-functional projects behind the #1 granola brand, from the first idea through the plant floor to the aisles.

Purely Elizabeth

Based in Boulder, CO, Purely Elizabeth is a high-growth natural foods company focused on creating products using elevated, nutrient-rich ingredients. Their award-winning products include granola, oatmeal, and cereal. Founded in 2009 by Elizabeth Stein, a certified holistic nutrition counselor, the company is dedicated to helping consumers thrive on their wellness journey.

What You Will Do

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead Purely Elizabeth’s most complex, high-impact initiatives, including product innovation and renovation, cost improvement, club programs, and manufacturing and logistics network changes. Project management at Purely supports the entire company, so you’ll partner with every department, executive leadership included, to keep the whole portfolio moving and ensure the right decisions get made on time. You are a key member of the Supply Chain team and report to the Director of Commercialization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project lifecycle for complex, high-impact initiatives and related programs, defining an integrated approach across interdependent workstreams, internal teams, and contract manufacturing partners.
  • Partner with functional and project leaders to build integrated plans and timelines; identify dependencies across projects and recommend sequencing or resource trade-offs.
  • Influence prioritization of functional work and dependencies across projects, guiding teams through ambiguity and recommending changes in approach as business needs evolve.
  • Lead cross-functional groups through complex work sessions, resolving competing perspectives, clarifying the decisions needed and documenting alignment.
  • Anticipate roadblocks, risks, and challenges across functions and partners; lead structured problem-solving, address recurring causes, drive recovery planning when delivery is at risk, and escalate with options and recommendations.
  • Report project and program status to stakeholders and executive leadership with clear, visual timelines and concise summaries of impacts, trade-offs and decisions needed.
  • Initiate and lead process improvements used across projects, and mentor project managers to strengthen delivery capability through feedback and shared practices.

Who You Are

You’re an independent operator who can take a portfolio of high-stakes projects and own it. You bring executive presence and the confidence to guide senior stakeholders through tough trade-offs, along with a sharp eye for detail that shows up in clean decks and easy-to-read timelines. You know food, you’re comfortable on the plant floor and you understand what it takes to move product through a production facility. Purely moves fast and changes direction often; you find that energizing, and you’re the first to bring new ideas, tools (AI included), and better processes to the table.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of project management experience in food or beverage, preferably in a CPG food manufacturing environment; natural foods experience is a big plus.
  • Operational experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing or supply chain processes.
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects or programs with interdependent workstreams, external partners, and ambiguous requirements.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders, resolving competing priorities, and mentoring project managers or colleagues.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Asana, Smartsheet, or other project management software experience preferred.
  • Nice to have: TraceGains, ERP implementation experience, Six Sigma Black Belt or PMP.
  • Remote with travel to Boulder about once a month or for Boulder/Denver candidates, hybrid in-office Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • 15-25% overall travel, including visits to co-manufacturing partners.

Benefits

$115,000–130,000 annual salary, plus a 15% discretionary bonus target.
