Garment Technician – Production Support

•                     Supportive, collaborative and successful team 

•                     Tech packs, fittings, providing production support 

•                     Permanent role with NZ owned global company - Birkenhead

•                     4 Days per week would be considered or fulltime

Our Group of companies has over 60 years’ experience sourcing and supplying products to supermarket chains and leading retailers globally. Our track record of growth is thanks to our amazing teams in New Zealand (head office), Australia, China, Canada, USA, UK, Germany, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

This is replacing our wonderful colleague who is retiring at the end of the year. She has been a 'rock star' with extensive experience, so we do need you to be technically proficient. Your technical garment and production skills will be highly valued. This is a long-term opportunity to contribute to a team with a solid track record of working with established and new customer's, growing their product range and market share, which is exciting.

Your experience and personal style will include:

•                     5+ years' developing commercial and, or, outdoor garments, working with overseas suppliers (China experience highly regarded).

•                     Creating Garment Specs, technical packs, fit comments, measuring and production support 

•                     You will have solid textile knowledge, including the appropriate application and options for our range

•                     Building strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers’ support teams.

•                     Trouble-shooting capability to resolve any problems that arise with production.

•                     A positive and proactive personal style, with a “can do” attitude.

•                     The ability to communicate effectively, conversationally and in writing in a calm and constructive way (at all times).

•                     Strong planning and organizing skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

•                     A passion for global retail trends and providing clever solutions to customers

•                     Solid systems experience, including Intermediate MS Office and Adobe Suit 

•                     A full driver’s license is preferable.
