Radiologist – Tauranga, Bay of Plenty

He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role

This is an outstanding opportunity to join Bay Radiology in Tauranga — part of RHCNZ, New Zealand's largest and most respected privately owned radiology provider. With a nationwide network of more than 170 specialist Radiologists across 74 clinics, RHCNZ offers unparalleled access to subspecialty expertise, cutting-edge technology, and a truly collaborative national clinical community — while you enjoy the lifestyle that makes Tauranga one of New Zealand's most sought-after locations.

We are particularly seeking Radiologists with general skills or subspecialty expertise in musculoskeletal (including interventional) and breast, though opportunities are also available in body, chest, and O&G reporting. You will join a well-respected, collegial Radiologist team, supported by experienced imaging, technical, and administrative staff — all focused on delivering exceptional, patient-centred care.

In this role you will provide high-quality advisory and diagnostic radiology services across a broad scope of modalities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, PET and Nuclear Medicine, as well as interventional procedures. You will contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice, supported by ongoing professional development and peer connection across the RHCNZ national network.

Located on the east coast of the North Island, Tauranga is a harbourside city in the Bay of Plenty — one of the fastest growing population centres in New Zealand. It is just a few minutes from the iconic beach town of Mount Maunganui, with world-class beaches, a spectacular harbour, hiking, mountain biking, and a warm climate year-round. Whether you are seeking a lifestyle change, career growth, or both, Tauranga offers the perfect balance of professional opportunity and coastal living.
