About Your Role at Extend
You'll sit at the centre of our delivery team, helping elevate the quality, consistency and capability of our drafting function.
You'll work across:
Volume housing
Custom homes
Dual occupancies
Small multi-residential projects
Renovations and extensions
Key Responsibilities
Technical Quality Assurance
Review and quality-check preliminary and working drawings
Ensure compliance with Australian standards and client requirements
Reduce drafting errors, omissions and rework
Team Coaching & Development
Mentor and support drafting team members
Provide technical feedback and guidance
Assist with onboarding and capability development
Drafting & Delivery
Complete and support residential drafting projects
Assist with complex designs and revisions
Process Improvement
Improve drafting systems, workflows and quality processes
Help increase efficiency, consistency and turnaround times
What We're Looking For
Essential
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Building Design, Architectural Drafting or similar
5+ years' residential drafting experience
Advanced Revit skills
Strong understanding of Australian building standards and construction methods
Proven QA and plan review experience
Strong communication and coaching ability
High attention to detail and pride in your work
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
Highly Regarded
Experience leading or mentoring drafting teams
Experience across volume, custom and multi-residential projects
Building design experience
Experience developing drafting standards, systems or QA processes
