We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Shop & Rental Hire Assistant to join our Operations team. This is a hands-on role that combines retail, rental hire, reception support, and guest engagement to help deliver exceptional holiday experiences.
About the Role
As a Shop & Rental Hire Assistant, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our retail shop and rental hire services while providing outstanding customer service to guests. You'll assist with retail sales, rental bookings, stock management, guest enquiries, and administrative support, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to service excellence.
Working closely with the Park Manager and wider operations team, you'll help maintain the presentation and efficiency of the shop and rental facilities, support reception activities, and contribute to creating memorable guest experiences through friendly, proactive service. You'll also have opportunities to assist with guest activities and Kids Club programs during peak periods.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing exceptional customer service across the shop, rental hire, and reception areas
Processing retail sales, guest payments, and rental bookings accurately
Assisting guests with product recommendations, rental equipment selection, and local information
Maintaining attractive displays, replenishing stock, and supporting inventory management activities
Issuing, receiving, inspecting, and preparing rental equipment to company standards
Responding to phone, email, and in-person guest enquiries professionally and efficiently
Supporting guest activities, Kids Club programs, and wider resort operations as required
What We're Looking For
You'll bring:
At least 1 year of experience in retail, hospitality, tourism, customer service, or a similar guest-facing role
Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly and professional approach
Experience using point-of-sale systems and confidence using Microsoft Office and computer-based booking systems
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
A proactive attitude with the flexibility to assist across different operational areas
Physical fitness to handle rental equipment and complete operational tasks as required
Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and a rotating roster
