Protective Paints Ltd is a 100% New Zealand-owned and operated paint manufacturer based in East Tamaki. We are looking for an experienced Colour Matcher to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a period of leave, currently expected to run until mid-to-late December, with the possibility of an extension.

About the Role

This role involves accurately matching colours to existing colour standards and customer samples, ensuring colour consistency and quality across our paint products.

Previous colour-matching experience in the paint, ink or a similar industry is highly desirable. Experience using computerised colour-matching equipment would also be an advantage.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in colour matching, ideally within the paint or coatings industry

• A good eye for colour and the ability to identify subtle colour differences

• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on speed and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Comfortable working in a factory environment, including some reasonably heavy lifting

• Reliable, organised and able to work to deadlines

Colour vision testing will be required as part of the recruitment process.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday

• Day shift, 7.00 am – 4.00 pm

• Temporary position until mid-to-late December at this stage, with the possibility of a longer-term opportunity
