I am recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join a Finance team in Burton upon Trent, supporting its Retail Solutions division.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid accounting foundation who wants to develop their management accounting skills, build commercial awareness and understand what really drives business performance.

You will have the opportunity to

Get hands-on experience across management accounts, analysis, controls and audit.
Understand the story behind the numbers, investigate variances and identify performance drivers.
Build relationships with stakeholders and contribute to business decision-making.
Work alongside experienced Finance colleagues and develop your technical and commercial skills.
Take ownership, suggest improvements and help make processes smarter and more efficient.

Who am I looking for?
Someone with a good grounding in accounting principles who is keen to learn, develop and take on more.
You might already be part-qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA, or be ready to start your professional qualification.

Ideally, you will bring

Good Excel skills and experience using an ERP or accounting system.
An eye for detail and the confidence to investigate when something does not look right.
An interest in understanding business performance, not just reporting figures.
Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
A proactive mindset, good organisation and the ability to manage deadlines.
Experience with a modern finance system would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000

Location: Burton upon Trent
Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Annual leave: 25 days plus 1 birthday leave day
Pension: 5% employer contribution
Life assurance: 2 x base salary
