At EchoStar, the Retail Wireless Integration team challenges the status quo and reimagines capabilities across industries. The team requires a highly motivated, forward-thinking Technical Product Owner to manage the platform that handles the end-to-end lifecycle of retail wireless orders. The role addresses complex challenges surrounding state management and distributed transactions while bridging the gap between developers and clients. The position serves as an accelerator by driving AI-assisted software development practices and optimizing product management workflows.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
Drive the product vision and delivery roadmap for the order orchestration engine by mapping business processes into scalable, end-to-end cloud workflows.
Define and coordinate integration solutions for order lifecycle management, overseeing validation, payment processing, network provisioning, activation, and automated error handling workflows.
Champion generative AI tools across the development cycle to automate API contract creation, refine user stories, and accelerate software delivery milestones.
Decompose complex system features into structured user stories while grooming and prioritizing technical backlogs for full-stack integration teams.
Direct Scrum ceremonies, facilitate cross-team execution, manage operational dependencies, and enforce engineering delivery standards.

Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring):
Ability to apply generative AI and prompt engineering techniques to formulate technical specifications, API contracts, and synthetic testing data.
Strong skills in evaluating event-driven systems, asynchronous communication flows, and microservices patterns to support platform scalability.
Problem solving and analytical expertise in distributed state management, serverless cloud integration environments, and complex systems coordination.
Maintain knowledge of modern enterprise integration tools, technical documentation standards, and system sequence diagramming.
Collaboration and cross-functional leadership abilities to align distributed engineering teams, manage stakeholders, and execute project deliverables.
Additional Qualifications:
Understanding of machine learning concepts within software engineering for predictive analytics or automated system recovery.
Familiarity with distributed streaming and message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS.
Practical experience with telecommunications retail systems and development environments utilizing Apigee, Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum Experience: 4+ years of experience in enterprise product ownership and software/API integration
- Required Technical Skills: 4+ years of experience with:
- Order system processing and design
- AWS, specifically with Lambdas and Step Functions
- Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or GitHub Copilot
- Offshore team collaboration

Salary Range
Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year
