About the role

Your main responsibility will be inspecting, testing, servicing and preparing specialist tools and equipment that return from hire, ensuring they are ready for the next job.

This is a hands-on role that also involves computer-based administration and customer support. Once familiar with the equipment and processes, you'll be expected to take ownership of your day-to-day work, manage priorities and follow things through to completion.

This includes:

·  Inspecting returned equipment, assessing its condition and identifying faults or wear.

· Cleaning, servicing, testing and tagging tools to ensure they're safe and ready for the next hire.

· Managing scheduled maintenance requirements and coordinating with service and calibration teams to get equipment back into circulation promptly.

· Keeping equipment records, maintenance schedules and asset information accurate and up to date in the company's systems.

· Following up on outstanding repairs and servicing to avoid unnecessary delays.

· Helping introduce new tools into the hire fleet.

· Maintaining a tidy and organised returns/workshop area.

· Covering hire bookings, calls and walk-in enquiries during busy periods or when the Hire Controller is away.

· Participating in an after-hours call-out roster once fully trained.

The goal is to keep tools moving quickly while maintaining high standards of reliability and presentation.
