About the role
Distinction Coachman Hotel is seeking a passionate, hands-on and commercially minded chef to lead our kitchen and help drive the next stage of our food and beverage offering. Whether you're an experienced Head Chef looking for a fresh challenge or a talented Senior Sous Chef ready to take the next step, this is your opportunity to bring your ideas, take ownership and make a real impact. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll help shape our menus, develop your kitchen team, maintain high standards and drive both guest satisfaction and profitability.
Key responsibilities
Lead the kitchen and help drive the food and beverage offering
Help shape menus and develop specials
Develop your kitchen team
Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency
Drive guest satisfaction and profitability
Manage food costing, stock control and portion management
Ensure food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards are met
Work in partnership with the General Manager to improve quality and commercial results
Take a proactive, hands-on approach and motivate your team
About you
Experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
A passion for food, menu development and consistent quality
Strong leadership skills and the confidence to take charge and build a positive kitchen culture
An understanding of food costing, stock control, portion management and profitability
Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to motivate people and perform under pressure
Most importantly, you'll take pride in your work, embrace accountability and want to make the kitchen your own.
