What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out residential and commercial electrical installations, maintenance and repairs.
- Installing wiring, conduit, circuit breakers, switchboards, lighting and electrical appliances.
- Reading and interpreting electrical plans, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshooting electrical faults, testing circuits and replacing faulty components.
- Working with specialised systems, including solar panels, EV chargers and smart home technology.
- Ensuring all work meets NZ electrical regulations, AS/NZS standards and site safety requirements.
- Communicating with clients, providing job updates and completing relevant technical documentation.
- EWRB registration and a current NZ Electrical Practising Licence.
- Previous experience working in both residential and commercial electrical environments.
- Working at Heights, EWP, Site Safe and Confined Spaces training or relevant tickets.
- Strong fault-finding skills and a solid understanding of NZ electrical standards.
- Ability to work confidently and safely, both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, reliability and a professional attitude.
- Two recent work references who can confirm your electrical experience.
