Practice Nurse – 0.8 FTE
Intus Specialist Health Care | Dunedin
Permanent | 0.8 FTE – 32 hours per week
We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Practice Nursing team at Intus Specialist Health Care in Dunedin.
This is a varied role supporting our specialist clinicians and patients across a range of services. We’re after someone who is clinically confident, organised, adaptable and, just as importantly, genuinely enjoys being part of a team.
About the role
Our Practice Nurses play an important part in supporting patients throughout their journey with Intus. No two days are quite the same, and the role includes a mix of patient care, clinical coordination and supporting our specialist practices.
You’ll be involved in:
Supporting specialist clinicians and their patients
Patient assessment, education and clinical advice
Managing patient enquiries and follow-up
Coordinating investigations, results and ongoing care
Pre-admission assessment and preparation
Supporting Endoscopy and Day Surgery admissions when required
Working closely with our administration and wider nursing teams
Helping keep our clinical processes running smoothly and safely
About you
You’ll be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC and strong general nursing experience.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Have excellent clinical judgement and communication skills
Are confident working independently while knowing when to ask for help
Are organised and able to juggle competing priorities
Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing positively to a team
Are comfortable with technology and clinical systems
Are flexible and happy to pitch in where needed
Bring a warm, professional approach to patient care
Previous Endoscopy experience would be a definite bonus, but it’s not essential. Experience in surgical, outpatient, practice nursing or other procedural environments would also be valuable.
Why Intus?
Intus is a busy specialist healthcare provider offering Consulting, Endoscopy and Day Surgery services. We work with a wide range of specialists, which means plenty of variety and the opportunity to develop your skills across different areas of care.
We’re a relatively small team, so how we work together matters. We value people who communicate well, support their colleagues, are willing to learn and aren’t afraid to jump in when things get busy.
This is a permanent 0.8 FTE position (32 hours per week) based at our Dunedin clinic.
If you’re an experienced nurse looking for a role with variety, autonomy and a great mix of patient contact and clinical coordination, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply through SEEK with your CV and a cover letter telling us a little about yourself and why this role appeals to you.
