About the role:
We are looking for a talented and passionate Concierge to assist Front Office team to deliver outstanding guest service experience at Mövenpick Christchurch Hotel.
The right person for this role consistently has a proactive attitude towards our guests, making them feel special and naturally welcome to our hotel. You have a passion to provide excellent customer services and strive to improve on your services. This position will give you the unique opportunity to engage with a variety of guest, both from New Zealand and internationally who have high expectations around quality, personal and unique experiences.
Responsibilities will include:
Greet international and local guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression.
Recommend local attractions, dining options, and experiences to enhance each guest's stay.
Handle luggage, store belongings securely, and assist with parking services professionally.
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, enquiries, and messages.
Maintain clean, welcoming public areas and proactively assist guests when needed.
Resolve guest concerns with a positive, solution-focused approach to ensure satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment is preferred
Physically able to lift and carry luggage
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
New Zealand citizenship, residency or a current valid work permit
Immaculate personal presentation and grooming standards
Full New Zealand Driver's License a must be able to drive both manual and automatic
The ability to multi-task and deliver on time; as well as flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays
The flexibility to work on a rotating roster
Positive, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to supporting your team
