About the role
We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused and results-driven Vehicle Sales Consultant to join our Auckland dealership team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars, enjoys working with people and is motivated to achieve sales success. You will be engaging with customers from diverse backgrounds, particularly within Auckland's Chinese-speaking community. The ability to communicate confidently in both Mandarin and English and build strong customer relationships is important.
Key responsibilities
Managing customers throughout the entire sales journey, from initial enquiry to test drive, purchase and vehicle delivery
Building strong customer relationships and generating repeat and referral business
Proactively developing new sales opportunities and following up leads
Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable vehicles and solutions
Delivering engaging vehicle demonstrations and test drives
Developing strong product knowledge, including vehicle features, specifications and technology
Working closely with the finance and aftersales teams to provide a seamless customer experience
Maintaining accurate customer records and following up enquiries in a timely manner
Working towards individual sales targets and contributing to overall dealership performance
Representing the dealership professionally and delivering an excellent customer experience
About you
Fluent in both Mandarin and English, with confident verbal communication skills in both languages
Previous sales experience, ideally in automotive or vehicle sales
A proven ability to build customer relationships and achieve sales targets
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
A proactive attitude with the ability to generate and develop new business opportunities
A genuine interest in vehicles, automotive technology and the automotive industry
Customer-focused, commercially minded and motivated by results
Well organised, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
A full and clean New Zealand driver's licence
Flexibility to work weekends as part of a roster, with alternative days off during the week
