About the business
Our client is a busy Christchurch moving company that helps people with all sorts of moves, from first homes and family relocations to downsizing and everything in between.
They are a hands-on, down-to-earth team that works hard, has a laugh and looks after each other.
With the business continuing to grow, we're looking for a capable Office Administrator to join us and help keep things running smoothly.
About the role
This is a part-time role of approximately 16–20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with a 9am start and some flexibility around finishing times. There is also the potential to add on Friday in the new year.
We're looking for a capable, organised administrator who's great with people, confident on the phone and happy to take ownership of their work. Someone who can keep things running smoothly, follow things through and spot what needs doing without always being asked.
You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, answering enquiries, following up leads and helping people through the early stages of organising their move.
No two conversations will be quite the same. Some customers will be excited about moving into their first home, while others might be feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start. Reading the situation, asking the right questions, and making people feel comfortable will be a big part of your day.
You'll work closely with the General Manager, handling day-to-day administration and helping ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Your day-to-day will include:
