About Us: We have 3 venues in Akaroa, known for our exceptional dining experiences, quality cuisine, and outstanding service. We are seeking passionate and experienced Chefs to help lead our culinary team and elevate our food offerings to new heights.

The Role: As a Chef, you will be responsible for helping to overseeing the kitchen operation, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will play a key role in menu development, kitchen management, and staff leadership. This is a hands-on role, where you will work closely with the team to create memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help develop, plan, and execute seasonal menus that align with our brand and customer expectations.

• Maintain food quality standards, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.

• Fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

• Monitor kitchen efficiency and performance, ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.

• Work with suppliers to source the best local and seasonal produce.

• Control food costs, inventory, and wastage, ensuring budgets are met.

• Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the menu.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef, ideally in a high-end restaurant setting.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing talent.

• Exceptional culinary skills, with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.

• Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Creativity and a passion for innovation in the kitchen.

• A relevant culinary qualification is preferred.
