Advanced Mathematical Thinking & Problem Solving Academy

Teacher Facilitators Potentially Seven (7) Positions Available

Hoboken Public Schools is seeking four enthusiastic, highly qualified educators to serve as Teacher Facilitators for the HPS Advanced Mathematical Thinking & Problem Solving Academy, an in-person, after-school enrichment opportunity designed for students participating in the district's Gifted & Talented Mathematics Program. The Academy is designed to extend students' mathematical thinking beyond the traditional classroom experience through rich investigations, creative problem-solving, logical reasoning, mathematical discourse, and collaborative exploration. Rather than accelerating students through additional grade-level content, the Academy emphasizes depth of understanding, multiple solution pathways, productive struggle, and the ability to justify and communicate mathematical thinking.
