About the role
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Flooring Labourer to join our team. You’ll work alongside experienced installers on residential projects throughout Canterbury, building practical skills and learning the flooring trade.
The work is mainly indoors and involves physical tasks, attention to detail and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
Assisting with floor preparation, including grinding, smoothing, levelling and removing existing flooring.
Loading and unloading tools, materials and flooring products, including vinyl planks, laminate and engineered timber.
Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised.
Helping installers lay flooring to a high standard.
Learning to use trade tools and equipment safely and effectively.
About you
Reliable and punctual — you arrive on time, ready to work and put in a solid day’s effort.
Able to handle physical work — the role involves heavy lifting, bending and kneeling.
Current New Zealand driver’s licence.
Positive attitude — you’re willing to learn, follow instructions and work well with others.
Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
Work ethic comes first — we’re looking for someone who puts in consistent effort and takes pride in their work. Flooring, construction or general labouring experience is a bonus.
