VIP Metalwork is a locally owned and operated business specialising in the design, supply, fabrication, and erection of Metalwork for Commercial/Residential architectural projects where the finish product matters.
We are seeking applications for a Metalwork/Steel Site Rigger ideally with experience in handling finished products i.e balustrades, Handrails, Stairs (including Spirals & Ellipticals).
The skills and experience required are:
Minimum of 3 years structural steel site/ metalwork rigging/erecting experience.
Site erection in accordance with relevant specifications and standards taking care with finished items that are painted / powder coated / polished etc
Rigging and crane signals
Ability to read and understand Architectural plans, and site marking plans
Ability to set heights and levels accurately
Correct use of single-phase welding machine including TIG, grinders with experience in fettling to AESS4 a positive but not required as full training will be given, mag drill, dyna drill and other power and battery-operated tools/welding optional but advantageous, along with experience in Stainless Steel / Aluminum / Brass also a positive
Correct use of hydraulic equipment
Exceptional level of health and safety
A high standard of workmanship and a good attention to detail a must
Ability to communicate clearly in English
Be energetic and physically fit, have a good attitude, be motivated, reliable and punctual, and work well in a hardworking team.
Will to travel and work away when required
Relevant tickets also a positive – Site safe / EWP , full clean drivers licence class 4 and Hiab operator a big plus.

Works in accordance with VIP Metalwork Ltd policies and procedures and maintain a safe workplace at all times
