The Opportunity
Located in the heart of Dinsdale, Grasslands Kindergarten is an important part of the community. We are looking for a passionate, motivated and caring part-time Kaiako to join our team.
Working alongside our dedicated team of Kaiako, you will help create an engaging, inclusive and stimulating environment that supports tamariki’s social, emotional and physical development.
This position is 31.5 hours per week, working the
following days and hours:
- Monday 8:30am – 1:30pm 4.5 hours
- Tuesday 8:30am – 4:30pm 7.5 hours
- Wednesday 8:30am – 4:30pm 7.5 hours
- Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm 7.5 hours
- Friday 8:30am – 1:30pm 4.5 hours
About You
You are a dedicated and enthusiastic Kaiako who brings warmth, energy and a genuine love of teaching and learning. You will have:
- A positive attitude, resilience and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
- A friendly, approachable nature and a great sense of humour.
- A collaborative, team focused approach with a commitment to achieving positive learning outcomes for tamariki.
- Ability to contribute to an authentic bicultural environment that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with tamariki, whānau and colleagues.
- A flexible, open minded and creative approach to teaching and learning.
What you will bring
- A Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) Level 7 (minimum qualification).
- Certification issued by Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
- A current First Aid Certificate.
