Use Your Expertise to Shape Risk, Compliance and Safety

Looking for a flexible role where you can strengthen organisational practices and make a genuine difference?

ADA Australia is seeking a Risk, Compliance & Safety Advisor to work closely with senior leaders, provide practical advice and help shape our approach to enterprise risk, compliance, governance and WHS.

Why Join ADA Australia?

  • $92,271 p.a. (based on 32 hours per week) + super + generous NFP salary packaging
  • Flexible scheduling and hybrid work arrangements
  • Choose to be based at Geebung or Woolloongabba
  • Genuine autonomy and direct access to senior leaders

Depth in One Area. Capability Across the Others.

You don’t need to be an expert in every area. You may bring particular strength in enterprise risk, compliance, governance, WHS, audit or assurance, together with the confidence and curiosity to work across related areas.

If you can exercise sound judgement, build trusted relationships and turn complex requirements into practical solutions, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Business Support Services, you’ll work across the organisation to:

  • Develop and strengthen our enterprise risk management framework and organisational risk register
  • Monitor compliance obligations, emerging risks and regulatory developments
  • Coordinate risk assessments, compliance reviews, audits, assurance activities and corrective actions
  • Maintain and improve WHS systems and advise on safety matters, including psychosocial hazards
  • Coordinate WHS audits, investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions
  • Prepare clear reports, briefings and recommendations for senior leaders, the Board and relevant committees

What Success Looks Like

You’ll contribute to:

  • Strong enterprise risk and compliance practices, with clear oversight of material and emerging risks
  • Effective WHS and psychosocial risk management, supported by practical systems and responsive action
  • Clear, evidence-based assurance and reporting that supports Executive Management Team and Board decision-making

About You

You’ll bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, professional certification and/or practical experience in enterprise risk, compliance, governance or WHS
  • Experience developing, implementing, reviewing and/or improving risk, compliance or WHS management systems
  • Sound knowledge of risk management, compliance, WHS legislation and psychosocial hazard requirements
  • Experience leading complex audits, investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, including preparing clear reports and recommendations
  • The ability to provide practical advice, build trusted relationships and influence senior leaders

Experience in the community, aged care, disability, health or not-for-profit sector would be an advantage but is not essential.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Queensland driver licence
  • Current National Criminal History Certificate
  • Ability to travel between ADA Australia’s Brisbane offices and occasionally to regional offices
