A great opportunity has arisen for a Dental Assistant to join our small, friendly two-chair dental practice in Glen Eden. At Matheson Dental, we focus on personalised, high-quality care in a calm and welcoming environment, with a strong emphasis on patient comfort and trust.

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you will work closely with our dentist in a supportive one-to-one clinical setting. As a small practice, you’ll be involved in all aspects of day-to-day dental assisting, including chairside support, sterilisation, patient care, and reception duties when needed.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate)

• Knowledge of sterilisation and infection control

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to multitask in a small, busy environment

• Friendly, calm, and caring personality

• Strong communication skills and team attitude

• Reliability and a strong work ethic

Experience with dental software is an advantage but not essential.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 32 hours per week
