About the role
In this role, the Telehealth Doctor will conduct secure remote consultations while independently managing bookings, patient communication, and documentation across New Zealand.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
conducting telehealth consultations with patients
assessing patient history, symptoms, & treatment suitability
prescribing medicinal cannabis in accordance with NZ regulations
educating patients on risks, benefits and correct use
maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
participating in follow-up care and prescription reviews.
All clinical decisions/prescribing will remain entirely at the discretion of the treating doctor, in accordance with NZ regulatory standards.
What we're looking for
Full New Zealand working rights essential
Valid New Zealand medical registration essential
Min. 1 year GP or similar experience (in good standing with the Medical Council of New Zealand)
Strong clinical diagnostic skills with patient-centred approach
Excellent communication and empathy
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
General practice/family medicine/urgent care experience a plus.
