If you’re a tradesperson who takes genuine pride in your workmanship, enjoys producing high-quality joinery, and wants to work alongside people who care about getting things right — we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just want to complete a job, but wants to build something they’re proud to put their name to.

About Woodland Shopfitting

We manufacture and install quality commercial joinery and interior fit-outs across New Zealand.

Our projects include retail stores, hospitality, medical, commercial and bespoke interior fit-outs. The work is varied, challenging and often requires you to think beyond simply following a set of plans.

We’re a hands-on team that values craftsmanship, accountability, collaboration and getting the job done properly.

About the Role

As a qualified Cabinet Maker / Joiner, you’ll be involved in producing and installing a wide range of custom joinery and commercial fit-outs.

Your role will include:

  • Manufacturing high-quality custom cabinetry and joinery

  • Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications

  • Operating workshop machinery and equipment

  • Assembling and finishing joinery to a high standard

  • Installing joinery on site when required

  • Problem-solving and finding practical solutions when things don't go exactly to plan

  • Working collaboratively with our workshop and installation teams

  • Taking ownership of your work from start to finish

  • Maintaining a high standard of quality, accuracy and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a qualified tradesperson who cares about their craft.

You’ll bring:

  • Solid experience in a commercial joinery, shopfitting or similar environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent workmanship and finishing skills

  • The ability to read and work from technical drawings

  • A strong work ethic and reliable approach

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a team

  • A willingness to take responsibility for your work

  • A genuine desire to keep learning and improving

Most importantly, you care about quality.

You understand that the difference between a good tradesperson and a great one is often found in the details.

The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here

You’ll enjoy working with us if you:

Take pride in your work.
You notice the details and don't settle for “good enough” when you know it can be done better.

Like solving problems.
You can think on your feet, work things through and find practical solutions.

Take ownership.
You don't need someone constantly looking over your shoulder. You take responsibility for the quality of what you produce.

Want to improve.
You’re experienced, but you’re never too experienced to learn something new.

Value the team.
You understand that great projects are delivered when everyone works together and takes responsibility for their part.
