Independent Lens Specialists (ILS) is New Zealand's only premium optical laboratory. We are an optical lens manufacturer and wholesaler providing independent optometry practices with high quality optical lenses and great service.

This role is based at our Riccarton optical laboratory and will suit someone with attention to detail who enjoys seeing a task from start to finish and is highly motivated, able to multitask, organised, and capable of working efficiently to tight deadlines.

This job is part-time, approximately 25 hours per week, which can be worked during school friendly times or 3 full days per week in a job share situation with another staff member. Ideally to start early January 2027.

 PREFRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ideally, but not essential, a knowledge and understanding of optical lens technologies terminologies.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The full range of optical production tasks ranging from order entry to QC! Training will be provided.

 To be considered for this role you will need to be self-motivated, and organised.
