About the role

At Flock Events, we set up and pack down the gear that makes events happen. We're looking for Auckland-based Team Leaders who people naturally want to follow – the kind of person who walks onto site, gets a read on the job, and has the crew moving with purpose and a smile.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the jobs you're on, from loading at the warehouse through to final pack-down
• Plan and lead truck loads, packing furniture of all shapes and sizes so it's tight, secure, protected and in the right order for unloading on site
• Lead and motivate your crew to deliver on time, safely and to a high standard
• Stay proactive on site: spot problems early, adapt and get it done
• Be the main point of contact with clients and our ops team while on the job
• Keep your team safe, looked after and on track (breaks included)

About you

• A natural, charismatic leader who lifts the people around them
• A great eye for space – you can look at a pile of odd-shaped furniture and see how it all fits on the truck with nothing wasted or damaged
• Efficient and organised, because preparation is key and details matter
• Someone who uses their initiative and doesn't wait to be told
• Clear, honest communication with your crew, clients and the office
• Calm under pressure, so you can adapt and execute without the stress
• Full NZ driver's licence and must be able to drive manual
• Class 2 licence preferred
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Flexible availability, including early starts, evenings and weekends
