About Us

We are proud to be a distinguished, New Zealand-owned family business spanning six generations, with a legacy dating back to the 1860s. Renowned for our exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to delivering an extraordinary client experience, we have built a reputation for excellence across the country’s luxury retail sector. With a portfolio offering of fine jewellery and timepieces, Partridge continues to lead the industry in both artistry and service.

Our values — Heritage, Longevity, Growth and Pioneering — are central to how we work and how we show up for our clients and each other. If the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most prestigious brands, while being part of a business that retains the heart and spirit of a family-owned company, resonates with you, we would love to meet you.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented, highly organised Events Manager to join our team and help deliver an exceptional programme of events and brand activations for Partridge and its portfolio of luxury brands, across Auckland and throughout New Zealand.

Working closely with senior colleagues, you will play an integral role in bringing creative briefs to life, overseeing the planning and execution of events from initial coordination through to on-site delivery. You will manage the many details that make an event successful, including budgets, supplier relationships, production schedules, logistics and timelines, ensuring every experience is delivered seamlessly and to the highest standard.

This is an opportunity for an experienced events professional who enjoys taking ownership, thrives on organisation and has a natural eye for detail. You will bring structure and precision to every project, confidently managing multiple moving parts while building strong relationships with suppliers, internal teams and brand partners.

With events spanning a diverse portfolio of luxury maisons and locations throughout New Zealand, the role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of experiences and contribute to the way some of the world's most prestigious brands connect with their clients, partners and media contacts.

Key responsibilities

Event planning and delivery

  • Coordinate and deliver events, activations and client experiences from initial planning through to execution and post-event wrap-up.

  • Translate creative briefs into detailed event plans, production schedules, run sheets, timelines and checklists.

  • Coordinate all event requirements, including venues, catering, florals, styling, production, audiovisual, entertainment, photography, invitations, gifting and guest management.

  • Oversee event setup, on-site delivery and pack-down, ensuring every element is executed seamlessly and in line with the agreed brief.

  • Coordinate regional events and activations throughout New Zealand, managing the associated logistics, suppliers, travel and local requirements.

  • Proactively anticipate requirements, identify potential challenges and find practical solutions to keep projects on track.

Budget and supplier management

  • Prepare and manage event budgets, monitor expenditure and reconcile final costs against approved budgets.

  • Source and brief suppliers, obtain and compare quotations, coordinate bookings and manage deliverables to agreed specifications.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, production teams and external suppliers, ensuring expectations, costs and timelines are clearly communicated.

  • Maintain accurate records of supplier agreements, quotations, invoices and event expenditure.

  • Identify opportunities to work efficiently and creatively within budgets while maintaining an exceptional standard of delivery.

Brand and stakeholder coordination

  • Bring approved creative direction to life, ensuring all event elements adhere to brand guidelines and reflect the individual identity of each maison.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, boutique staff, brand representatives and external partners to ensure every event is well coordinated and all stakeholders are prepared.

  • Coordinate event collateral, signage, invitations, guest lists, gifting and other brand materials with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ensure event environments, presentation and guest experiences reflect the quality and standards associated with Partridge and its brand partners.

  • Represent Partridge professionally when working with suppliers, partners and guests, exercising discretion and sound judgement at all times.

Project management and administration

  • Manage multiple event timelines and competing priorities, maintaining clear oversight of deadlines, deliverables and dependencies.

  • Maintain organised event documentation, including budgets, production schedules, run sheets, supplier information and checklists.

  • Coordinate post-event administration, including invoice reconciliation, supplier follow-up, asset management and reporting.

  • Capture feedback and learnings to support the ongoing refinement and delivery of future events.

About you

You are an organised, proactive and detail-oriented events professional who takes genuine pride in delivering exceptional experiences. You enjoy bringing plans to life, are energised by the practicalities of event delivery and understand how thoughtful preparation and attention to detail make all the difference.

You are confident managing projects independently, balancing multiple priorities and building positive relationships with the people around you. Resourceful and solutions-focused, you approach challenges with composure and enjoy finding ways to make things work, even when timelines are tight.

You have an appreciation for luxury brands and understand the importance of consistency, presentation and the finer details that contribute to a considered guest experience. Most importantly, you take ownership of your work and are motivated by seeing an event come together beautifully.

You will bring:

  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in event management, event coordination, activations or a similar project-based role.

  • Experience coordinating events from planning through to on-site execution and post-event administration.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines and competing priorities.

  • Experience managing budgets, supplier relationships, quotations, bookings and invoices.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of organisation and follow-through.

  • The ability to interpret creative briefs and execute brand guidelines accurately and consistently.

  • A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to adapt when circumstances change.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders effectively.

  • Initiative, accountability and a collaborative approach to working within a close-knit team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience within luxury retail, fashion, jewellery, watches, premium hospitality or a luxury-focused events agency would be advantageous.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand. Travel: Occasional regional travel may be required throughout New Zealand to support events and activations.

Working hours: A full-time role, with flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, in line with the event schedule.
