JOB PURPOSE 

The Outreach Nurse Vaccinator will work with General Practitioners and other core members of the Primary Health Care team during clinical outreach events and must have flexibility to backfill staff on leave. 

CORE COMPETENCIES AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS 

• A current Annual Practicing Certificate according to NZ Nursing Council requirements 

• A current Vaccinator Certificate 

• A current CPR Certificate

• Competent in Medtech Evolution

• Experienced in triaging patients 

• Venepuncture skills, including blood tests and IVL insertion 

• The ability to work independently and part of a team, and show initiative and accountability for own actions 

• Competent in using Best Practice Intelligence 

• Good communication skills

• Full clean New Zealand Driving License 

• Must have New Zealand Residency or Citizenship 

•  With primary care experience.
