Fairview Lifestyle Village in Albany seeks a dynamic Health & Wellbeing Assistant to support and connect our community of 250 independent living residents.
About the Role
Working with the nursing and village teams, you will support existing residents, welcome new residents, build relationships and encourage resident participation in the village
The role combines wellbeing support, resident liaison & engagement, events and communications.
Days and hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9.00am to 1.00pm, with public holidays off.
What you will do
Assist the Head Nurse and support residents' daily wellbeing, respond to individual needs and escalate concerns.
Build relationships, welcome and follow up with new residents and offer support during bereavement.
Help supporting wellbeing initiatives, resident groups, events, outings and build community connections.
Create resident communications, flyers, social media and publicity content with marketing and PR providers.
What you will bring
Compassion, patience and respect for older adults, with sound judgement and discretion.
Strong communication, writing, organisational and relationship building skills.
A creative, flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
Confidence using databases, social media, Canva and AI.
Relevant experience in aged care or retirement village environment, a Level 4 healthcare qualification and current First Aid/CPR certificate are advantageous, but not esssential.
