We are partnering with one of the world's leading engineering and manufacturing groups, with extensive international operations and capabilities across energy and infrastructure, to appoint a Senior or Principal Engineer specialising in steel sheet piling and foundation systems.
This technically focused, client-facing role extends beyond traditional design, translating project requirements into practical, commercially viable and constructible foundation solutions.
The Opportunity
Working with contractors, EPC organisations, engineering consultants and manufacturing specialists, you will contribute to preliminary engineering, technical evaluation and project development.
Your involvement will encompass geotechnical assessments, structural loading and foundation selection, with particular emphasis on steel sheet piling, earth-retaining systems and foundation solutions for infrastructure and utility-scale solar projects.
You will also provide technical input into tenders and commercial proposals, considering manufacturing capabilities, installation methodologies, project specifications and relevant Australian standards.
The emphasis is on applying engineering judgement to develop technically sound, cost-effective solutions.
About You
We are seeking Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineers with experience in piling, deep foundations, earth-retaining systems or related infrastructure applications.
Experience with steel sheet piling, retaining structures or excavation support systems would be particularly relevant. Exposure to renewable energy foundations, including driven or helical piles for utility-scale solar projects, would also be valued.
A sound understanding of geotechnical conditions, structural loading, foundation behaviour and construction methodologies is important, alongside the ability to evaluate technical alternatives and engage confidently with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with PLAXIS, L-Pile, AllPile, WALLAP or related geotechnical and structural analysis tools would be advantageous.
