We are seeking an organized, motivated, and experienced Food Service Director to oversee the daily operations of our school food service program.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced school food service professional looking for a rewarding leadership position with a Monday–Friday schedule, daytime hours, no weekends or holidays, and summers off!
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food service operations throughout the assigned school district.
- Travel between schools within the district as needed.
- Supervise, support, and manage food service staff.
- Review staffing needs, assist with scheduling, and participate in hiring.
- Place food and supply orders with vendors.
- Monitor inventory, food costs, and product usage.
- Ensure meals meet USDA National School Lunch Program (NSLP) guidelines.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, and customer service.
- Prepare and submit end-of-month reports and required paperwork.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Communicate regularly with the Area Supervisor regarding program operations and needs.
Qualifications
- Previous school breakfast and lunch experience required.
- Previous food service management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple locations and prioritize responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
- Must be able to travel within the assigned school district.
- Must be able to obtain all required clearances and documentation to work in schools.
