Christchurch | Full-time | Minimum 40 hours per week | 6:30am start, Monday to Friday

PURE Sports Nutrition is looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse team and operations and ensure our products are packed accurately, dispatched efficiently and delivered to customers across New Zealand and around the world.

This is a great opportunity for an organised, proactive leader who enjoys working alongside their team, delivering exceptional customer service and finding smarter, more efficient ways to get things done.

You'll take responsibility for our pick and pack operations, product packing, domestic and international distribution, inventory management and warehouse performance, ensuring we consistently deliver the right products to the right customers, on time.

About Us

PURE Sports Nutrition is a fast-growing, New Zealand-owned sports nutrition brand built on clean ingredients, great taste and products that genuinely perform.

Established in 2012, PURE has grown into a trusted brand across New Zealand and Australia, supporting athletes, active people and workplace hydration customers.

We manufacture our products in Christchurch and are continuing to expand into new markets.  We're proud of our down-to-earth team culture, commitment to quality and focus on continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead our warehouse and distribution operations, with a particular focus on ensuring efficient, accurate and timely picking, packing and dispatch of customer orders.

You'll work closely with our sales, customer service, finance and production teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled quickly and accurately, stock is available when needed and our distribution processes support the continued growth of the business.

You'll lead a committed and effective warehouse team, including permanent and casual team members, ensuring the right people and resources are in place to meet dynamic order volumes and customer requirements.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be just as comfortable working alongside your team during busy periods as you are planning workflows, coordinating logistics and implementing operational improvements.

Why This Role is Unique

  • Join a growing New Zealand-owned business with an established presence across Australia and New Zealand.

  • Take ownership of warehouse operations, order fulfilment and distribution across domestic and international markets.

  • Lead and develop a committed team, including managing casual resources to meet changing business demands.

  • Work closely with sales to deliver outstanding customer service and speed to customer.

  • Have the opportunity to introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working and make a real difference to operational performance.

  • Play an important role in supporting PURE's continued growth into international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all warehouse pick and pack operations, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, efficiently and on time.

  • Manage product packing activities, ensuring finished products are correctly packed, labelled and prepared for distribution.

  • Oversee domestic and international distribution, including ecommerce orders, wholesale shipments, palletised freight and export orders.

  • Work closely with sales and customer service to prioritise orders, respond to customer requirements and continually improve delivery speed and service levels.

  • Plan daily warehouse workflows, staffing and resources, including managing casual team members to meet fluctuating order volumes.

  • Lead and develop the warehouse team, building a positive, accountable and high-performing culture.

  • Manage freight and logistics providers, ensuring cost-effective, reliable and timely deliveries.

  • Oversee inwards goods, inventory movements, stock control and offsite storage, ensuring accuracy and product availability.

  • Support the roll out and ensure effective use of a Warehouse Management System to support accurate stock management and order fulfilment.

  • Drive continuous improvement through efficient warehouse layouts and streamlined workflows.

  • Lead warehouse health and safety, ensuring safe working practices and compliance with relevant requirements.

  • Monitor warehouse productivity, order accuracy, dispatch performance and freight costs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a practical, solutions-focused warehouse leader who takes pride in running an efficient operation, enjoys developing people and understands the importance of delivering excellent customer service.

You'll bring:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a warehouse, distribution or order fulfilment environment, including supervisory or team leadership experience.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage daily workloads, changing priorities and busy order periods.

  • Experience leading warehouse teams, including coordinating casual staff and managing productivity.

  • Proven experience managing pick and pack operations, product packing and dispatch.

  • A good understanding of domestic freight and logistics, ideally including international shipping and export distribution.

  • Experience with inventory management, stock control and Warehouse Management Systems.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively internally as well as manage external stakeholders, particularly with freight providers.

  • Knowledge of New Zealand workplace health and safety requirements.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, improving efficiency and delivering results.

Ideally, you'll also have experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or consumer goods, along with an understanding of systems to continuously improve warehouse operations and workflows, reducing waste and increasing productivity.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who leads from the front, takes ownership, enjoys working with people and understands that accurate, fast and reliable order fulfilment is essential to keeping our customers happy.

Why PURE?

  • Be part of a successful and growing New Zealand-owned business.

  • Work with a friendly, collaborative and down-to-earth team.

  • Enjoy a varied, hands-on leadership role with autonomy and responsibility.

  • Have a genuine opportunity to improve warehouse efficiency, customer service and delivery performance.

  • Contribute to a business with ambitious growth plans and a strong commitment to quality.
