Multiple Civil Construction Opportunities – Hawke's Bay
Working Foreman | Operator | Civil Labourer | Drainlayer
Join our team and be part of delivering an exciting waters infrastructure project!
We are gearing up for an upcoming waters infrastructure project in the Hawke's Bay region, and we're looking to build a strong, capable team to help deliver the work.
With multiple skilled positions available, we're seeking experienced civil construction professionals who take pride in their work, enjoy being part of a team and are ready to get stuck in.
The project is expected to run for approximately six months, with an anticipated start in early December 2026, so we will be actively reviewing applications as they come in!
The opportunities
We're currently seeking expressions of interest for the following positions:
1. Working Foreman
Proven experience leading civil construction crews.
Competent in either drainage or pavement construction.
Confident coordinating daily site activities, managing people and maintaining productivity.
Strong focus on quality, health and safety, and delivering work to programme.
2. Civil Operator
Experienced operating civil construction machinery.
Minimum Class 2 licence and WTR endorsements required.
Able to work effectively as part of a construction crew and assist with general site activities when required.
3. Experienced Civil Labourer
Previous experience in civil construction.
Comfortable working across a range of site activities and supporting the wider crew.
Reliable, hardworking and willing to get involved.
4. Experienced Drainlayer
Proven experience in civil drainage, ideally with a current drainlaying qualification.
Certifying Drainlayer status would be highly desirable.
Confident installing gravity sewer networks and working to the required specifications and standards.
Able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider project team.
We're particularly interested in an experienced Drainlayer looking for a longer-term opportunity. While this position will support the upcoming project, we have a strong pipeline of work beyond this contract and would ideally like to bring someone on permanently.
