About the role

Alignz Recruitment is looking for experienced Roading & Surfacing Workers to join established civil contracting teams working across the Wellington region. Positions available include: Asphalt Operators / Surfacing Crew, Chip Seal Operators / Sealing Crew, Roller Operators, and Roading Labourers with Surfacing Experience.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out asphalt laying and road surfacing work.

• Assist with chip sealing operations.

• Operate rollers and roading machinery within your experience and qualifications.

• Prepare work areas and assist with general roading duties.

• Follow site safety procedures and traffic management requirements.

• Work alongside the crew to complete jobs safely and efficiently.

About you

• Previous experience in asphalt laying, chip sealing or road surfacing.

• Experience operating rollers or other roading machinery is an advantage.

• Understanding of site safety and working around live traffic.

• Full Class 1 driver licence, with Class 2, Class 4 or WTR endorsements advantageous.

• Reliable, physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work well within a crew.
