ABD Group, a proud New Zealand-owned and operated company, is offering a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead the growth of our Avondale branch. We are specifically seeking a candidate with a strong background and knowledge of the bearings, power transmission, seals, and gasket industry who can bring valuable insight, technical expertise, and customer understanding to the role.
About the role
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall successful and efficient running and performance of the branch. Building strong customer relationships, managing key accounts and identifying opportunities to grow the business.
Key responsibilities
Manage branch staff and maintain total responsibility for quality of work
Maintain timekeeping on staff and provide on-the-job training and coaching
Ensure branch staff have the resources to do the job correctly
Maintain and expand key accounts and develop new business
Manage sales KPIs as set by the National Sales Manager
Ensure orders are processed to customer satisfaction and provide timely quotations
Oversee warehouse workflow, stock shelf layout, product location and identification
Leading health, safety and wellbeing practices, including risk management, incident reporting and accurate records
About you
Knowledge of bearings, power transmission and sealing products
Ability to supervise and manage branch staff
Proven management or supervisory experience
Sales and customer service experience
Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations
Ability to develop and implement sales plans and manage KPIs
Strong organisational and communication skills
