We’re looking for a reliable Class 2 driver to cover annual leave for three weeks, operating a compactor truck for litter bin servicing and litter control around the Bay of Plenty. The role starts Monday 19 October, so we need someone available right away.

You’ll be based at the Tauriko depot and working Monday to Friday. To get you up to speed, you’ll spend your first few days (Monday to Wednesday) training alongside an experienced Compactor Driver before taking over the run.

What you’ll be doing

• Driving the compactor truck to service public litter bins on a scheduled run

• Monitoring and managing bin emptying so servicing happens on time

• Keeping on top of litter control around bin sites

• Reporting any bins that need maintenance or repair

What you’ll need

• A full Class 2 driver licence (essential)

• Availability to start Monday 19 October

• Must be able to pass a preemployment drug test

• Reliability and good time management, since the public counts on these bins being emptied

• The ability to work independently once trained

• Reasonable fitness for a hands-on outdoor role
