Qualified Management Accountant – Retail / Manufacturing
East Hertfordshire | up to £60,000 + up to 10% Bonus
Working with an established, multi-site business to recruit a qualified Management Accountant for its finance team.
I am particularly interested in candidates who are already working in industry, ideally within retail, manufacturing, wholesale or another product-led environment. Experience working with physical products, stock, margins and operational finance would be highly relevant.
The role
- Preparation and support of monthly management accounts
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Gross margin and overhead analysis
- Branch and operational financial reporting
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements
- Managing property and lease accounting information
- Working with purchasing teams on supplier agreements and rebates
- Customer rebate calculations and reporting
- Supporting finance projects and process improvements
The ideal candidate
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA recently or newly qualified
- Existing hands-on management accounting experience in industry
- Experience within retail, manufacturing, wholesale or another product-led business
- Comfortable analysing margins, costs and operational performance
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
- A proactive, commercially minded approach
Package and working arrangements
- £50,000–£60,000 salary
- Up to 10% annual bonus
- Initially five days per week onsite
- Hybrid working flexibility after approximately 3–6 months
