Coordinate 19 live capital projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars for TGL in East Tamaki. You are the glue that holds it all together!

Every project has someone holding it all together.
The person who knows which purchase order is still outstanding.
Which supplier promised delivery by Thursday and which action from last week’s meeting still has no owner.
If that sounds like you, read on.

TGL has a long history and sites across the country. Its Group Automation and Innovation team currently has 19 capital projects under way, together worth hundreds of millions of dollars. These projects will shape how the business operates for years to come, and the team needs a Project Coordinator to keep them moving.

Reporting to the GM, Strategic Projects and Technical, you will support project managers and engineers across several projects at once.
One day you might be raising purchase orders and chasing supplier lead times. The next you could be preparing a CAPEX report, updating Smartsheet trackers or taking minutes and making sure every action is followed up.
You will help prepare business cases, track spend against approved budgets, manage project documentation from start to closeout and look for better ways of doing things along the way.

This is a team focused on automation, so they would love someone who practises what the team preaches. If you have used AI tools or automation to take the repetition out of reporting, tracking or admin, tell us about it. Curiosity and a willingness to try new tools matter as much as the software you already know.

The right person genuinely enjoys making other people’s work easier.
Your first question is usually “how can I help?” and you take real satisfaction in being the one people rely on. You stay calm when priorities shift, and you are comfortable following up with a supplier who is running late or a colleague whose action has slipped.

Accuracy matters in this role. With this much investment in play, budgets, purchase orders and project records need to be right, and you are the kind of person who checks twice because you care about the outcome.

You will bring
  • At least three years in project coordination, project support or administration in a busy environment, along with a tertiary qualification.
  • You will have advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Solid experience with reporting and documentation.
  • Experience in procurement, budget tracking, CAPEX projects or Smartsheet will set you apart, as will a background in manufacturing, engineering or an industrial setting.

Why this role

Few coordinator roles offer this kind of scale.
You will sit at the centre of a significant investment programme, work alongside engineers and leaders who depend on you and have room to shape how the team runs its projects.
