About the role
We are seeking an experienced After Sales Technician to join our service team at our Mount Wellington facility in Auckland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and reliability of Rayglass boats after they leave our production line. As an After Sales Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining Rayglass vessels, ensuring they operate at optimal performance.
Key responsibilities
Oversee boat handovers, quality checks, sea trials, and documentation
Coordinate between production, sales, and service teams
Troubleshoot and arrange minor repairs before delivery
Conduct customer handovers, demonstrating features and addressing queries
Support boat delivery logistics to ensure timely, safe arrivals
Handle post delivery service requests and keep accurate records
What we are looking for
3–5 years' experience working as a technician in the marine industry, boat repair, or a related mechanical field
Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
Knowledge of marine engines, propulsion systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and marine-specific components
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high quality workmanship
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers of varying technical knowledge
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Class 2 license is preferable but not essential
