About the role
Join the Christchurch team as a Large Loss Estimator. This role provides the opportunity to progress your career with support and guidance from senior managers, an immediate start, and room to grow.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of insurance building projects from commencement to completion
- Attend insurance claims and compile building reports and quotations
- Regularly communicate with homeowners and clients
- Coordinate access to properties
- Dispute and issue resolution
- Ensure all work conforms to legislative and contractual OHS requirements
- Ensure inspection, certificate of final inspection and other relevant documentation is signed off
- Travel in and around the South Canterbury region
About you
- Proven examples of demonstrating drive and energy
- Extremely motivated and able to think outside the box
- Building Trade or Construction Qualification
- Insurance Building background advantageous, however not essential
- Intermediate Computer literacy
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Excellent communication, customer service and relationship building skills
- Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client
- Understanding of OHS practices, legislation, regulations
- Knowledge of current market rates and trades
