Azure Cloud Platform Engineer
Location: Fully Remote

Day Rate: Up to £500pd
IR35: Outside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join a technology team working on the development, modernisation and improvement of cloud platforms and services.

The role is primarily focused on Microsoft Azure , with AWS used where there is a clear business or technical requirement. You'll be responsible for designing, building and improving secure, scalable and well-managed cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build and improve Azure cloud platforms and services
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or similar
Build automation and CI/CD pipelines
Implement cloud networking, security, identity and governance controls
Support cloud architecture and new technology implementation
Build and deploy infrastructure and platform services supporting Product and Data solutions
Work with technical teams to ensure new services are secure, supportable and production-ready
Provide specialist technical support and escalation for complex cloud platform issues
Develop automation using PowerShell, Python or similar
Contribute to monitoring, documentation, platform standards and operational readiness
Participate in an out-of-hours/on-call rota for critical services when required

We're looking for strong hands-on experience with

Microsoft Azure
Terraform and/or Bicep
Azure DevOps, GitHub or similar CI/CD tooling
Cloud infrastructure and platform engineering
Cloud networking and security
Identity and access management
PowerShell, Python or similar scripting
Cloud governance, monitoring and platform standards
Knowledge of AWS and Linux would also be beneficial.

This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone who enjoys building, automating and improving cloud platforms rather than simply maintaining existing infrastructure.
